Your Data. Your Control.

Sports Evidence Lab helps athletes understand where they fit within the wider sporting community — while keeping personal data private and under their control.

Plain-English explanation · not a legal policy
How it works

How Sports Evidence Lab works.

Sports Evidence Lab analyses millions of historical sporting results and activities to identify patterns, benchmarks and evidence. We study what consistently happens across the running community — so the picture you see is drawn from many people, not one.

How do athletes like me typically improve?
What does a realistic progression look like?
How do I compare with similar athletes?
What habits appear most often in success?

The purpose of the platform is evidence generation — not athlete surveillance.

Historical results

Historical results data.

Sports Evidence Lab may analyse publicly available historical sporting results to build anonymous evidence models. These records help us understand population-level trends, participation patterns and performance distributions — the shape of the community, never a spotlight on a person.

Builds anonymous, population-level evidence models
Does not publish public athlete profiles from results data
Does not sell personal information or identifiable athlete records
Does not expose other athletes' performance histories
Your personal data

What happens when you connect.

When you choose to upload activity data or connect a supported service, your data stays under your control. It's used to generate evidence and insights specifically for you — your fit, your trend, your cohort — and it isn't put on display for anyone else.

Used for you

Your personal activity powers your own insights — where you fit and how you've progressed.

Disconnect anytime

Unlink any connected service whenever you like. It stops contributing immediately.

Request removal

Ask us to remove your data at any time. No friction, no penalty.

Visibility

What other people can see.

The line is simple: others see the community in aggregate, never you in particular.

Other users cannot see

Private to you
  • Your private activities

Aggregated in · never identifiable out
How we use data

Personal in. Aggregate out.

Your individual data helps build the evidence network. The findings we share are anonymous, aggregated and population-based — they describe trends and populations, never individuals. Aggregated and anonymised evidence may be published, shared, licensed, or commercialised as studies, benchmarks, reports, and population-level insights. We do not sell personal information, identifiable athlete records, or individual running histories.

Our promises

Four data principles.

Transparency

We explain where data comes from and how it is used — in plain English, like this page.

Privacy

We do not sell personal information or identifiable athlete records. Personal in, aggregate out — your identity stays protected.

Control

You stay in control of your own connected data — connect, disconnect or remove anytime.

Evidence

Insights are based on observed evidence, not guesses — and never predictions.

Questions about your data?
